Wow that's amazing!!! I can't believe you guys are so close to coming home.

But yes, that would suck to be taking 12 hour shifts at the hospital. That can be so exhausting. Think of how great it'll be to take him home!

It's good training though, they did that with Isabelle. They released her from the NICU and then we had to come back to the hospital to stay with her (just for 24 hours) before we could take her home.

As much as I hated it, I have to admit it made it easier to go home with a sick baby. I was comfortable with taking care of her by the time she was released. Without that training I would have panicked a lot more over things when we brought her home.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel! Don't get worked up about him not being in the NICU anymore. It's a good thing, remember? :) It means he's getting better, Hannah! Your baby will get to come home soon. I'm going to continue to pray for you guys! That finish line is rapidly approaching!

There is light at the end of tunnel! With all that Andrew is going through, he still looks wonderful. (The "do" just makes me smile :) ) We are keeping you all close to our hearts! Love, Celeste

So, that's awesome, but I can see how it totally sucks. But coming home?! Yay!

Wow... I don't even know what to say. I can't believe you may be able to take him home so soon. That's amazing and wonderful news. And I can't believe they have an infant in a room with no one on constant watch. That's a bit crazy... It's not like they can call for help or something! Keep on updating us. xoxo Jen

I'm sorry you guys are out of your comfort zone Hannah but it sounds like you guys are making a step in the right direction to getting Andrew home for the holidays.

I can't believe they only check them once and hour. I mean I know how much my six year old can get into in 10 minutes.

*hugs* Hang in there hun

Hannah, it sounds like a mixed bag with the hospital changes and new routine, but movement forward if they're talking about releasing him soon. How wonderful it will be to have you four back home, and for Andrew to meet the rest of his family.

By the way, when is your graduation from medical school? Bet you feel like you've had a crash course in Nephrology 101!

We are rooting for you. Hold your baby close, and know that we are keeping you close in our hearts!

Lots of love to you four--Ant Marti
