Hi there… a friend guided me to your site in the hopes that you might have another resource to go to.
My daughter was born with severe brain damage and complete renal failure due to a placental abruption. At 15 months she received a kidney transplant and we just brought her home for the first time in June (at 16+months old). We did peritoneal dialysis for months and ended up on hemodialysis. We have become experts on it all at this point.
I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you need anything, have any questions or just want to vent about the frustrations of being a mom and a nurse along with all of your other responsibilities.

My daughter (Raegan) has a site that will tell you more about her journey.

Welcome back home! We’re glad you’re here!!! I too will offer my time to come over and watch Andrew while Coop plays with Emma – for you to shower or whatever. Today, Cooper was saying, “Emma?!?!?”, so I told him that I’d call you anyway.

YAY! It was SO awesome to see you on Thursday! Andrew looks amazing. He’s ridiculously adorable and ANYTIME you need me to come over for an hour so you can shower, or nap, let me know. I’m here to help! And I know Dylan wouldn’t mind the opportunity to play with Emma!

Glad to hear that you’re home. But I know it’s kind of scary to leave the hospital. I felt that way with the twins and we weren’t dealing with anything more serious than getting them to each (they would eat barely anything and then spit it all up). I don’t remember showering for the first year that we have a toddler and two newborns in the house… I suppose I must of…but I don’t think it was a priority…
